Most impressive about the growth of computer technology.

I think the most impressive thing about computer technology growth is the size. We went from computers the size of rooms to computers smaller than our palm. I think it's amazing that it's been only a few years and we've come so far in technology. Before we could only print data, now we can surf the internet and learn new things everyday with a slide of a screen or press of a button. I can't believe people have been so innovative and have come up with things such as touch screens and now they're developing the idea of not even having to get up, you can just swipe your arm to the left and the channel will change on a television. I can't wait to see what we can create next.

What I found most impressive from the Steve Jobs video.

What I found most interesting about the Steve Jobs video we watched today in Computer Science was that Steve Jobs dropped out of school and still ended up with millions. I thought it was really inspirational that if he couldn't afford something or if it wasn't invented yet, he built it. He was so creative and he had to have been a genius. I never understand why he was such a big deal until we watched this video. Another thing I found really impressive was how he wasn't in it for the money, he was doing something he loved. He truly loved to build things and create, and made sure to put his best in all he did. I believe that is a key in success in life is if you put your all into something you love you will never be miserable. Steve Jobs is truly inspiring and impressive.

The KCS Retreat

Kaylyn 'twerking'.
The KCS retreat was a lot better than I expected. I had expected it to be lame and stupid, but it turned out to be fun and excited for the rest of the year. I feel like I am closer to the Juniors and rest of my school. I loved spending time with my friends and teachers.
Austin and Kaylyn playing 1 on 1.
During free time we played tether ball with Mr. Hale, who absolutely destroyed all of us. We also played some volleyball and basketball. Austin and Kaylyn played one on one with each other, and we also played three on one.

Kaylyn's face speaks for itself.
On the last day we were at the camp, Tiffany gave us some french fries from Taiwan that were in a bag. I expected them to be nasty, but they tasted exactly like french fries.

'Photogenic Frenzy'
Mr. Hale showed us some pictures of himself when he was younger and we thought it was hilarious that back in the 80's he had the 'Bieber cut'. We decided it should be the 'Hale cut' now.

One of the props was passed around the camp. Sweeney had worn it in the senior skit as the Lion in Wizard of Oz, and from afar he looked like a girl.

Mr. Hale or Hagrid.

On our way to the camp we had a jam session to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Overall this retreat was extremely fun and I loved hanging out with my friends from school and building new relationships I might not have gained otherwise. I also feel like I grew closer to God during this trip and I can't wait to start my new beginning on Monday morning.

My Summer Was...

My Summer was...relaxing. I had a lot of time this summer. During the first few weeks my family went to Hilton Head Island on vacation. We hadn't been on vacation in 2 years, so having that time to spend with my family and our close family friends was needed.
My uncle, Jeff, and family friend, Brandon, playing Bocci.
We had so much fun while we were down at the beach, relaxing in the sun and playing Bocci. We also brought our bikes and rode around. The water was warm while we were there, and during certain days the water would be absolutely wicked. While at the beach is when I feel most content.

While in Hilton Head we went on a dolphin cruise. We had so much fun and saw over 10 dolphins on the cruise. They were so cool to watch, and I got to spend time with my parents and learn about some of the history of the island.
My cousin, Mary Kate, and I with Marilyn Monroe.
We went to Savannah for my cousin, Jacob, to tour the Savannah College of Art and Design. While he took a tour, my mom, aunt, cousin, and I went to Savannah Candy Kitchen. I love to go to the town square and listen to the street performers and go into the art studio on the end of the street.

The rest of the summer I didn't do too much. I slept a lot and hung out with a few friends most days. This summer was very relaxing and I enjoyed it. It was overall one of my favorite summers so far.
